Breakfast

So if we sometimes have breakfast for dinner, then how come we never have dinner for breakfast?

I do. It's usually leftover pizza though, cause I cannot always stomach dinner foods so early in the morning.

Or some kind of dessert, like carrot cake.

ah yes, that's true! I do like pizza for breakfast. Actually, if I'm home one day, I do start to crave Indian food around 10 so I hold out and eat it around 11, so that it can be more of a brunch/lunch. :) And there's an episode of Seinfeld where George is contemplating what to get for breakfast. He thought he should get a muffin cuz it's for breakfast but he wanted cake, and then thought: muffins are pretty much a form of cake anyway, so I'm having actual cake! :)

Leftover pizza in the morning?? Are you closet software developers by any chance? In the industry we call that a "programmer's breakfast".

Aside: does "dinner" refer to the midday meal or the evening meal in the US? Over here in Blighty it can be either, depending on whether you're from the South (where it means the evening meal) or the North (where it means lunch, and they call dinner "tea"). Confusing, especially as I am a Southerner married to a Northerner.

I am always wondering why brunch always overshadows its overlooked cousin lupper.

Imaginista: prolly cuz we are more likely to be hungry at 10 am on a Sunday after sleeping in til then than we would be at 4 pm if we havne't really done anything all day.

Pastamasta: I'm referring to dinner as the evening meal and breakfast as the morning meal.
