Sacrifice

Notice how in a few cultures there exists the sacrificing of living beings to the gods? Whether it be virgins or the best horse breed, or whatever. So killing something else is supposed bring auspiciousness to you? Seems like bit too easy of a ticket, doesn't it? Hmm, makes sense that we've turned into a world of violence.

Well now come to think of it, there *are* a few people I wouldn't mind seen taken out. Perhaps a way for me to reach nirvana?

I too have long sought the gift of auspiciousness (auspicity?) from [insert deity or pantheon of choice], and came at a very young age to the conclusion that burnt offerings of leaves, shoelaces or squashed ants (I was a disturbed child) just don't cut it where the gods are concerned, the stuck-up supernatural bastards. I now taken a sophisticated inverse-psychology approach, whereby periodically I make extravagant declarations of non-belief while standing on top of a tall mountain during a thunderstorm wearing a wet metal colander on my head; I figure they won't smite me because it would just be waaaaay too obvious. So far it's worked quite well.
